The Tennessee Art Education Association & the West Tennessee Regional Art Center present the
Ninth Annual West Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition
January 9, 2017 – February 24, 2017
Deadline for entries: November 10, 2016
Reception: Sunday, January 22, 2017, 2-4pm
The competition is open to students, grades 6-12, attending public, private, or home schools in the counties of West Tennessee. The number of entries entered into the competition may not exceed 2 artworks per student, and no more than 25 entries per teacher.
All entries must be the original work of the student and not copies of another artist’s work. Do not submit any work copied from published photographs, magazines, book illustrations or other artwork. All work must be signed by the student, parent or teacher attesting to its originality. If there is doubt as to the originality, the teacher should NOT submit it.
- Two dimensional works may not exceed 4 feet in any direction.
- Sculptures may not exceed 4 feet in any direction; weight limit is 50 pounds. Larger pieces will be considered, but only if the teacher is willing to transport the sculpture to WTRAC and, if the piece is selected Best Sculpture, to and from Nashville for the “Best of the Best” exhibition.
Works submitted to previous West Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibitions are ineligible.
Works completed from November 2015 through November 2016 are eligible to enter the competition.

Best Video/DVD Production $ 50

Prizes will also be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and honorable mention winners in each grade level.
